The annual Survey of State Student Assessment Programs (SSAP) summarizes what is happening in statewide assessment programs and identifies trends in assessment. The two volumes of this report contain a wealth of information about assessment in the statewide programs. Usually, each question in the survey has a corresponding data table, although in some cases there are more than one. The data include responses fom 49 states and 7 jurisdictions. Volume 1 contains sections on the SSAP instrument for 1999-2999, a summary table, a list of state assessment directors, and the first part of the data tables. Data tables in this volume relate to the program overview, special survey topics, and program components. Volume 2 contains data tables related to: (1) assessment proposed; (2) performance standards; (3) students with disabilities; (4) limited English proficient students' exemptions and accommodations; and (5) assessment results reporting.
