Lamb, Theodore A. – Social Behavior and Personality, 1980
Explored speaking-order and talking-time structures in dyads and triads to determine if these modes of paralanguage were hierarchial and used consistently in various settings. Findings indicated that paralanguage hierarchies emerged and that speaking-order and talking-time ranks correlated between groups. (Author)

Davis, John M. – Social Behavior and Personality, 1984
Investigated attraction toward a group as a function of attitude similarity and perceived geographic distance in students (N=60). Results showed that effects of attitude similarity were strongly significant and that distance had no signficant effect on attraction and limited effect on evaluations. (LLL)

O'Connor, Margaret – Social Behavior and Personality, 1977
The hypotheses of this study were that role-taking training would increase (1) role-taking skills and (2) relative amount of peer interaction as compared with adult interaction. Results were that experimental subjects increased significantly in spatial role-taking only, although changes in conceptual scores were in the predicted direction. (Author)

A co-educational living-learning center for the arts was studied through participant observation and quantitative assessment. The results document the importance of full self-selection into a membership group and demonstrate the relationships between reference group identification, basic interests in personality, and social behavior.
