The Impact of Business Partnerships on Acquiring Early Postsecondary Opportunities
Jackson, Yolanda
ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, Trevecca Nazarene University
The purpose of this study was to gain insight on whether a significant relationship existed between business partnership engagement for test preparation of an early postsecondary opportunity and students in career and technical pathways. This study was a quasi-experiment analyzing the impact of experiential learning through internships and direct classroom instruction on the success of students earning dual credit or an industry certification in a CTE pathway course. The study also sought to determine if a relationship existed between the mean composite ACT score earned by the student and the mean passing score on an industry-based certification in the health sciences CTE pathway.
