This report and reference booklet is designed to provide adult education supervisors, instructors, and General Educational Development (GED) students and alumni with information to establish GED alumni associations as part of the adult basic education program. The final report details the GED Alumni Stretch and Reach project, which was proposed to expand local GED alumni group activities in the Central Pennsylvania region. Information is provided on administration, objectives, public relations, coordination and dissemination, and evaluation. These types of project activities are described: alumni association meetings, development of a presentation, three workshops, a regional alumni meeting, public seminars, and development of an alumni exchange. The reference booklet contains information on how to develop an alumni group. It discusses development, organization, recruitment, and retention of a GED alumni association and describes GED alumni activities and projects in three major areas: community service, center support, and personal development. Appendixes include copies of "Never Too Late," the alumni association newsletter. (YLB)
