Boot Camp Remedial Education Programs: Who Benefits?
Norris, Margaret P.; And Others
Journal of Correctional Education, v47 n3 p140-46 Sep 1996
Comparison of 33 boot camp participants with 39 inmate nonparticipants showed that the former were significantly more likely to take and pass the General Educational Development Test (GED). Previous academic achievement as indicated by Wide Range Achievement Test-Revised scores predicted who later passed or failed the GED. Individual personality differences did not predict GED attainment. (SK)
