A Measure of Care-Based Morality and Its Relation to Ego Identity.

A measure of moral reasoning based on a care ethic was developed. Moral thought that is based on care may more accurately reflect female development than the traditional justice-based morality. The relationship between the measure and women's ego identity was investigated. It is concluded that women's development of moral reasoning and concept of self are intricately linked. (GH)
