Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) protocols for 242 acute psychiatric inpatients were scored on the 13 content scales. The age, IQ, and education of each subject were also recorded. Content-scale scores were compared with scores from normal groups and were found to be significantly greater. (Author)

The relationship among the nine clinical syndrome scales of the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory-II (MCMI-II) and clinical scales of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2 (MMPI-2) was studied with 108 psychiatric inpatients. Results indicate convergent validity of only the MCMI-II Axis I scales. (SLD)

A model designed to account for major factors on personality questionnaires is proposed and evaluated using the Differential Personality Inventory. Two respondent processes are postulated: sensitivity to the underlying desirability of items, and threshold for responding desirably. (Author/JKS)
