Predicting Prison Adjustment with MMPI Correctional Scales.
Megargee, Edwin I.; Carbonell, Joyce L.
Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, v53 n6 p874-83 Dec 1985
Investigated the degree to which eight Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory scales, specifically derived to assess correctional criteria, related to six criteria of subsequent adjustment in prison. Although some statistically significant correlations with the criteria were obtained, their magnitude was quite low, indicating the scales had little practical usefulness. No racial bias was found in the scales. (Author/BL)
