Two hundred college students, most of whom had been administered the Rotter I-E and trust scales prior to the experiment, were assigned to testing groups. Findings indicate that clear sex-role stereotypes exist with regard to both locus of control and trust, and that the stereotypes are shared by subjects of both sexes. (Author)

Junior college students were randomly assigned to dyadic or individual test conditions and scored on the Unusual Uses Activity of the TTCT. Analyses showed dyads more flexible and original than individuals; no significant differences due to locus of control; and males more flexible in creative functioning. (Author/SJL)

Correlations between Rotter's Internal-External (I-E) Control of Reinforcement Scale and the Omnibus Personality Inventory (OPI) were predicted based on previous research and a theoretical expectation of a relationship between I-E and adjustment. These findings have implications for counseling and further research using the I-E variable. (Author)
