Using Entering Reading Comprehension Performance as a Predictor Performance in College Classes.
Royer, James M.; And Others
Journal of Educational Psychology, v79 n1 p19-26 Mar 1987
Reading comprehension scores, course examination scores, grade point average (GPA), and Scholastic Aptitude Test scores were analyzed to test the hypothesis that the comprehension of reading materials could be used to predict learning performance. Results showed that course-relevant reading comprehension was a predictor of course performance but not of GPA. (Author/JAZ)
