Explores the relationship between specific self-concept dimensions and school adjustment in three areas: (1) general classroom behavior; (2) group participation; and (3) attitude toward authority. Finds significant bivariate correlations exist between each self-concept dimension on the Tennessee Self-Concept Scale in a study of urban, inner-city, Afro-American, and middle school children. (NL)
