Examiner Disability and Other Bias Sources in Administration of the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale--Revised.
Voskuil, Susan; Tucker, Inez A.
Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development, v20 n2 p89-96 Jul 1987
To examine participant and examiner bias, graduate students posing as disabled examiners in a wheelchair administered the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale - Revised to 101 nondisabled college students. In terms of bias operating to influence subtest scores, only participant gender had a significant effect. Men scored higher than women on both the Arithmetic and the Picture Completion subtests.
