On the Minds of Middle Schoolers
Daniels, Erika
Educational Leadership, v62 n7 p52-54 Apr 2005
The joys and woes of teaching middle school children are well documented and effective middle school teachers are aware that they must address their students' social and emotional needs to ensure they succeed academically. Hispanic, white and Asian American students were interviewed on their experiences in their first year of middle school and what they had to say provides valuable insight into what middle schoolers expect from their teachers.
