The goals of this United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) kit are to present information about Indonesia, its problems and its needs and to describe how UNICEF helps improve children's lives. The materials consisting of a pamphlet, a booklet, an information sheet and a wall chart, are designed to be used in elementary or secondary school classrooms and in community programs. The pamphlet, "Indonesia Information Kit: Introduction and Guide," contains: (1) a suggested study guide; (2) learning activities for children, youth, and adults; (3) discussion questions; and (4) examples of an Indonesian recipe, a shadow-play, a song and a game, and a puzzle. The booklet, entitled "In Indonesia," provides information about the country's geography, history, and human development problems, along with a description of a UNICEF-assisted program. The kit also contains "Basic Facts about UNICEF" which features examples of this organization's assistance programs. A 15-item bibliography, pictures, and maps are included. (JHP)
