Vocational Adjustment Coordinator Handbook. 2nd Edition. Missouri LINC.
Boyer-Stephens, Arden; And Others
This guide offers vocational adjustment coordinators practical suggestions about instruction, program management, and administrative procedures that may be used and shared with appropriate personnel in conducting cooperative school work programs as they provide services for handicapped children and youth. The handbook is organized in eight sections. The first three sections explain the roles of the school administration, vocational rehabilitation, and the vocational adjustment coordinator. The following five sections outline five goals and suggest activities for reaching them. The goals are: (1) develop a communication network; (2) cooperate in the development of the individualized educational plan (IEP); (3) facilitate student progress; (4) develop training sites and implement on-the-job training; and (5) interface with the vocational rehabilitation counselor. Resources are suggested for each goal. A glossary, sample forms, a description of a supported work program, and additional resources complete the guide. (KC)
