NCAA Division I Graduation-Rates Report, 1999. Graduation-Rates Data (1989-90, 1990-91, 1991-92, and 1992-93 Entering Classes) [and] Undergraduate-Enrollment Data (Fall 1997).
Benson, Marty, Ed.
Legislation mandating public disclosure of graduation rates was adopted by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at its 1990 convention. The legislation stipulates that the Association's national office publish annually admissions and graduation-rates data on an institution-specific basis. Member institutions are required to distribute the institution-specific graduation-rates report to prospective student athletes and to their parents. This publication presents a collection of the information submitted by each Division I member institution through the completion of a graduation rates survey and the NCAA Division I Graduation Rates Supplemental Form. Institution-specific reports for NCAA Division I member institutions are included and appear in alphabetical order. In addition, summaries of the data are also provided. Each individual report provides information about two groups of students: all undergraduates who were enrolled in a full-time program of studies for a degree and student athletes who received athletics aid from the institution upon initial enrollment. Data are provided in seven racial or ethnic groups. Three measures of graduation rates are provided: freshman-cohort rate, transfer-cohort rate, and exhausted-eligibility rate. (SM)
