"Appropriate" School Psychology Practice? You Be the Judge VI
Zirkel, Perry A.
Communique, v44 n5 p4, 6-7 Jan-Feb 2016
For this sixth article in a series reviewing recent court decisions concerning appropriate school psychology practice from both professional and legal perspectives, the author summarizes a case in which an Oregon school psychologist provided foster care for a child with severe behavior problems and subsequently was reported for gross neglect of duty. The focus is on the heart of this school psychologist's livelihood, the license to practice this profession, at least in public schools, and the role of ethical standards in this licensure.
