This annual publication presents a core of relevant information about the Rochester (New York) City School District, including enrollment, achievement, and attendance data. It provides a forum for reporting and exploring items of interest to the district. Focus is on providing systematic and reliable information for school district assessment, strategic planning, and substantive improvement. Information is presented in 88 figures and tables, each accompanied by a descriptive legend. New or revised tables also are listed separately to indicate information added to the report because of suggestions in feedback from various interested groups. The document is not intended as a public relations tool or an indictment of district problems. In some cases, data are presented in comparison with previous years, but generalizations about the district are not drawn across tables.
