A questionnaire (survey sheet) has been developed focusing on some of the factors an architect has to consider in designing a house (site, appearance, suitability, and building maintenance). The use of the questionnaire by students and "spin off" activities are discussed. (Author/JN)

Presented are three curriculum sequences about windows that were designed as part of an architectural education course for junior high school students in Ohio. The three units, or "encounters," deal with stained glass, styles of windows, and functions of the window. Each includes student objectives and selected activities. (SJL)

Describes a teaching unit designed to create in students an awareness of and an appreciation for the possibilities for energy conservation as they relate to architecture. This information should be included in programs to give students experience and competence in this area.
