This report is intended to provide employment, training, and education program planners with information on using the Iowa Microcomputer Occupational Information Network (MICRO-OIN). The first section provides an overview of the Iowa State Occupational Information Coordinating Committee. The following topics are covered: the objectives, target audience, and scope of the general system; terminology used in describing the system; definitions, resources, and application notes for data content; limitations in the use of the data; occupations and training programs covered in the system; organization of the data into clusters; and substate areas for which data are available. The Iowa Occupational Information Network and its contents are described in section 2. The third and longest section includes the demand report, supply report, and analysis information for the state of Iowa. The fourth section contains indexes to programs, occupations, and clusters used in the MICRO-OIN as well as other references intended to assist system users. (MN)
