Trends in Geographic Origins of Students, Full-Time, 1959-1989; First-Time Full-Time, 1982-1989. Volume III.
State Univ. of New York, Albany. Central Staff Office of Institutional Research.
The results of the annual survey of the geographic origins, or permanent residence, of students attending institutions of the State University of New York (SUNY) during the fall 1989 term are presented in three volumes. Student data elements in the report include student level, student load, student history (first-time/transfer), and permanent residence. Institutional data elements include county of institution location, New York State Planning Region, and contiguous counties. This third volume covers enrollment trends. Part I covers 1959-1989, providing data by individual institution and institutional type for the percent of the institution's full-time students who come from: the institution's area of location; elsewhere in New York State; elsewhere in the United States; and foreign countries. Part II displays a 7-year trend in the New York origins of full-time, first-time students for each SUNY institution or institution type. Subtotals are available for New York State, New York City, Long Island, and contiguous counties. Part III shows a 7-year trend for full-time first-time students from each New York county (along with Long Island, New York City, and New York State totals). A list of publications of the Central Staff Office of Institutional Research is included. (JDD)
