Investigated overall level of marine/aquatic awareness (knowledge/attitudes) of grades five and nine Ohio and grade 10 Virginia students. Also identified specific weaknesses in their marine/aquatic knowledge and examined relationships between specific experiences and knowledge scores or attitudes.
