The Historicality of Cognition: Implications for Science Education Research.
Wandersee, James H.
Journal of Research in Science Teaching, v29 n4 p423-34 Apr 1992
After proposing and defining the superordinate concept of "historicality," fundamental interrelationships between time, events, memory, meaning, personal knowledge, public knowledge, and the histories of science are explored. Relevant research findings that demonstrate the confluence of scholarly thought concerning historicality across five educationally important domains are presented. (40 references) (Author)
