What Works Clearinghouse Rating
Tsui, Anne S. – 1983
Quality of performance data yielded by subjective judgment is of major concern to researchers in performance appraisal. However, some confusion exists in the analysis of quality on ratings obtained from different rating scale formats and from different raters. To clarify this confusion, a study was conducted to assess the quality of judgmental…

Brems, Christiane; And Others – American Journal on Mental Retardation, 1990
Developmental Record protocols were obtained from archival files for 1,069 institutionalized mentally retarded adults and children. Glascoe, Frances P.; Borowitz, Kathleen C. – Diagnostique, 1988
The Denver Developmental Screening Test (DDST) and an expressive language measure were administered to 114 children (aged 24 to 74 months) suspected of developmental difficulties. Hotard, Stephen R. – 1983
Texts on measurement theory report many studies on the consistency of intelligence test scores, but the stability of academic achievement over the school years has never been adequately studied. To investigate the stability of achievement test scores from fourth grade to college, a random sample of 100 students was selected from a 1978 graduating…

The Miller Assessment for Preschoolers (MAP)…

Oakland, Thomas; And Others – Journal of Learning Disabilities, 1990
To identify classroom behaviors that differentiate primary-level students with learning disabilities (LD) from their nondisabled peers, two scales of 83 items each were devised and piloted. Two subscales and 18 individual items were found to discriminate students later classified as LD and those referred but not subsequently classified as LD.…

van den Berg, Gerald; And Others – 1986
This paper examines possible explanations for the fact that evaluation results are rarely used. Most explanatory factors for use of results in decision making mentioned in the literature have been clustered in three categories of variables. They concern: (1) the making of decisions about the practical problem; (2) the way in which evaluation is…

Michael, Robert O.; And Others – 1987
A concern among those scrutinizing postsecondary programs in educational administration is the relationship among the academic and theoretical components of the programs, field-based experiences, and future on-the-job success. This paper examines the efforts of an educational administration department at Valdosta State College, Valdosta, Georgia,…
