This guide is intended to assist vocational teachers in preparing their students to assume a leadership role in the American Industrial Arts Student Association (AIASA). The five instructional units provided deal with the history; primary objectives; and principal activities of the AIASA; parliamentary procedure; the skills and qualities required to become an AIASA leader; and techniques for giving effective presentations. Each instructional unit contains some or all of the following: performance objectives, suggested activities, information sheets, supplemental activities to support materials included on the information sheets, transparency masters, assignment sheets, job sheets, tests, answers to the unit test and assignment sheets, and supplemental information on appropriate teaching methods.
