The Work-at-Home Challenge
Roman, Harry T.
Technology and Engineering Teacher, v80 n1 p26-27 Sep 2020
The article is a critical thinking piece to challenge students the idea of working at home. With the advances in computer technology and the approach of 5G telecommunications technology, it is possible many citizens could work at home. Not only just work at home, but humans could receive education remotely as well. Already college-level students can take open-access courses toward their degrees. With this scenario coming true, what major impacts do students see happening as we travel much less frequently to center city office buildings? Teachers can encourage students to act as consultants and identify and assess the possible impacts they might see from a society that works and educates itself remotely.
