Three self-report personality inventories were administered to a sample of 148 rehabilitation clients. Seven factor-analysis-derived dimensions of personality functioning were correlated with the criterion of successful case closure. Only one of the correlations approached statistical significance, leading to the conclusion that client-reported initial psychological status does not predict rehabilitation outcome. (Author)
