Practical reasoning with its dialogical nature and its special attention to aims, context, alternatives, judgment, and action emerges as an appropriate approach for understanding and taking action in the redesign of teacher education programs in vocational education. (Author)

The need for future labor market information is the focus of this article. Admitting that the type of labor information needed for planning purposes varies widely, the author nonetheless shows that it is possible to develop the necessary data, to coordinate them, and to communicate them to specific agencies.
