Using a national survey of 11-, 12-, and 15-year-old English students, the relationship between intelligence and academic achievement was examined at different levels of socioeconomic status and family environment. Regression surfaces were constructed from models which examined possible linear, interaction, and curvilinear relations between the variables. (Author/MH)
