Research Findings on Effective Program Designs and Methodologies: Quantitative Levels of Program Acceptability by Components and Demographic Conditions.
Packard, Richard D.; Dereshiwsky, Mary I.
This report on the third year of evaluation of the Arizona career ladder research and evaluation project indicates that to a high degree, project requirements are being realized; the study is clearly determining if teachers' professional careers and instructional performance activities are enhanced by the system, and what effects these developments have on accountability for student learning. Data gathered from the study are presented on tables. They present the quantitive levels of career ladder project acceptability described on the basis of specific program components and demographic conditions. These averages are initially broken down by the following seven demographic factors: (1) gender; (2) career ladder participation; (3) position in distrct; (4) years of teaching experience; (5) degree currently held; (6) ethnicity; and (7) level taught. These dually stratified results are also aggregated across all respondents for Phase I, II, and III districts. (JD)
