Ybarra, Lea
Understanding Our Gifted, v16 n3 p17-19 Spr 2004
In this article, the author discusses how Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth (CTY) seeks and nurtures students with high academic talents in Baltimore. The mission of CTY, since its founding in 1979, has been to identify students with high academic abilities and to provide challenging and innovative programs that are appropriate for their talents. More than one million highly gifted children have been touched--emboldened to let their talents soar--by CTY's programs and services. Seeking students with high academic talents and nurturing these talents through academically challenging, inspiring, and innovative courses is what Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth has worked towards for 25 years.
