This article describes Bob Montgomery's Famous Kindergarten First Graders! project. The aim of the project is to assist his students in learning about each other, to introduce them to digital photography using iPhoto (they participate in a group lesson in editing as well), and to introduce them to moviemaking using iMovie software. The project started when Montgomery checked out a website at Apple Education. Montgomery's project began with a look at the meaning of the word "famous," studies of people who are famous, and discussions of ways in which each child in the class may be famous. Parent involvement occurred as parents helped their children dress up and encouraged them to participate in the filming.
