This Workshop Leader's Guide is designed to assist Technical Assistance Center staff members and other inservice providers in conducting successful workshops on reading comprehension for teachers, administrators, and others associated with Chapter 1 programs. The guide contains step-by-step procedures for preparing, organizing, and presenting a one-hour workshop. The first section of the guide includes an introduction, a detailed checklist for materials and equipment needed to conduct the workshop, an advance planner, and the detailed instructions for presenting the workshop. The second and third sections of the guide contain the blackline masters for the participant handouts and overhead transparencies referred to in the workshop outline (including an ERIC Digest on "Dialogue Journal."
