The follow objectives of the program were established: (1) project children will achieve better in school, (2) the home environment will be reinforcing to the school environment, (3) teachers will work cooperatively with parents in pinpointing and meeting children's needs, (4)tutors will serve as models for parents as teachers and introduce preschool children to activities for increasing readiness skills, (5) parent-teacher aides will provide valuable assistance in the Child-Parent Center and serve as liaison between staff and community, and (6) the project director will assist parents in modifying their expectations so that school and home goals are more harmonious. Evaluation methods and procedures are described and teacher questionnaire and parent survey response findings are reported. Conclusions and recommendations are discussed.
