In this volume are discussed: (1) an assessment of the national potential for expansion of cooperative education (employer utilization of undergraduate student manpower, student participation in cooperative education, expansion in higher education institutions, and employer use of graduate manpower); (2) an assessment of the effectiveness of federal funding (the use and impact of funds from Title IV-D of the Education Amendments of 1968; and (3) an assessment of the role of cooperative education in career education, including career preparation, guidance and counseling, student characteristics, and placement.
