This study evaluated the psychometric properties of the Hope-Action Inventory (HAI) scores with a problematic substance use population (N = 783). The hierarchical seven-factor structure of the HAI fit the data well. Further, the HAI scores had satisfactory internal consistency reliability and good convergent evidence for validity.

Toland, Michael D.; Li, Caihong; Kodet, Jonathan; Reese, Robert J. – Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development, 2021
We assessed the psychometric properties of the visual analog scale (VAS) form of the Outcome Rating Scale (ORS) using item response theory (IRT) with a sample of 2,109 Canadian counseling clients. Findings indicate that the ORS was unidimensional and that the equal-interval assumption was not tenable for the VAS.

This study presents the Revised Arabic Schwartz Outcome Scale-10 (Blais et al., 1999). Data collected from Arabic and English speakers residing in the United States (n = 152) and international Arabic speakers (n = 423) provided robust psychometric support for the instrument's use to measure Arabic speakers' mental health outcomes.

Runyon, Katie; Barnard-Brak, Lucy; Stevens, Tara; Lan, William – Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development, 2020
The current study evaluated the validity and reliability of the SCARED on a Native American child population. Results suggest excellent internal consistency for the total score. The hierarchical model best fit the data. Overall the SCARED is a valid tool for identifying Native American children at-risk for developing anxiety disorders.

Matte, Melody; Lafontaine, Marie-France – Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development, 2012
The objective of the present study was to provide validity evidence for the scores from the Romantic Relationship Perfectionism Scale. Results indicate a two-factor structure, adequate reliability, and overall good convergent, concurrent, discriminant, and incremental validity evidence. The strengths and limitations of this measure are discussed.…
