Conducted study of clients' moment-to-moment experience of counseling session. Studied their recollections of experience through replay of taped session and analyzed transcribed interviews in terms of grounded theory form of qualitative analysis. Accounts given by some clients indicated that they were resistant to their counselor because they were ambivalent about his/her approach to counseling. (Author/NB)
