Kareem D. Piper
Office of Assessment, Research, and Data Analysis, Miami-Dade County Public Schools
This report examines the results of the Personal Financial Literacy Curriculum Survey (PFLCS). The PFLCS was designed by Miami-Dade County Public Schools' (M-DCPS) Office of Program Evaluation and Department of Social Sciences to gain insight into a baseline measure of financial literacy proficiency by grade level and student demographics. Further, the PFLCS was also designed to assess students' attitudes towards the concepts of personal financial literacy and money management. Currently, personal financial literacy concepts and skills are incorporated into existing M-DCPS programs of study, including but not limited to, Mathematics, Social Sciences, and Career & Technical Education (CTE).
