Side-Effects of Teaching--The Divergence between Formal and Factual Qualification in Germany.
Posiadly, Frank
Nurse Education Today, v15 n1 p47-51 Feb 1995
Interviews with German nursing students and teachers show that regular written examinations can have a positive effect if used to train for final exams, not for reproduction of facts, theories, and procedures. Preparing for factual qualifications (professional competence) necessitates their learning to think and perceive as nurses, a process that can be hindered by exams. (SK)
