On Being Called an Anti-Semite in Montana
Drake, Richard
Academe, v93 n5 p44-47 Sep-Oct 2007
As the coordinator of a university lecture series, the author is always on the lookout for good speakers. He thought that he had found one in Stephen Walt, a political scientist at Harvard University and the co-author of an article about the influence of the pro-Israel lobby on U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East. In this article, the author tells his story of inviting Walt to speak in the 2006-07 President's Lecture Series. For that the author was severely attacked while Walt miraculously recovered his intellectual powers before the 150 people present at his faculty-student seminar.
