The social development of 59 kibbutz-reared five-year-olds, whose attachments to mothers, fathers, and metaplott were assessed when they were 11 to 14 months old, was investigated. A study of the Israeli "bagrut" (maturity examination) correlated number of absences from class with class grades ("magen") and with examination grades for 300 students. Dana-Picard, Thierry – International Journal for Technology in Mathematics Education, 2005
A mathematician's work consists of proving theorems, calculating, and making mathematics understandable. An assistant for all three components is a Computer Algebra System. We describe and discuss various CAS-assisted processes for proving theorems, and discuss the constraints which can appear regarding efficiency, confidence in the result and…

Benor, Dan E. – 1983
Hypothesis generation has been proven to be a crucial phase in the clinical inquiry. The current instruments for measuring clinical problem-solving skills, however, are unable to differentially assess the hypothesis generating ability. For assessing this particular capability a new test is described. It is based upon exposing the examinee to an…

Livne, Nava L.; Milgram, Roberta M. – Roeper Review, 2000
A questionnaire of out-of-school activities was developed to assess mathematical creative ability at four levels using a three-stage circular technique.
