Intended for primary teachers who wish to incorporate career motivation activities into the existing curriculum, this handbook contains thirty-six teacher-developed career motivation units designed to be an integral part of the existing elementary curriculum. Embracing many different occupations and professions, the units are developed around the following seven developmental areas: individual and environment; self; world of work; economics; education and training; employability and work adjustment; and career decision making. Each unit has a similar format, which contains the basic concept of the lesson, developmental objectives, behavioral objectives, related subject areas, suggested learning activities, materials and resources, and evaluation. A list of career motivation instructional materials and a guide for field learning experiences and resource persons in the Ashland, Ohio, area are appended. (BM)
