Teaching Artists Leading Professional Development for Teachers: What Teaching Artists Say They Need
Flynn, Rosalind M.
Teaching Artist Journal, v7 n3 p165-174 2009
This article offers eight recommendations for teaching artist training programs. These recommendations based on the findings of the Ohio State Based Collaborative Initiative report may be useful to arts and education organizations as they design training experiences for teaching artists developing arts-integrated workshops for teachers; they may also inform the practice of individual teaching artists. Within the recommendations presented are the voices of the Ohio teaching artists--indented and enclosed in quotes. (Contains 2 notes.)
