Commercial Carpentry. Instructor Edition.
Hendrix, Laborn J.
This teaching guide is intended to combine practical experience in the construction industry with the teaching methods of vocational education for instruction in carpentry. Instructional material in this manual is written in terms of student performance, using measurable behavioral objectives. This guide contains 4 sections organized in 24 instructional units. Following a standardized format established in Oklahoma in 1970, the guide includes eight basic components that form a unit of instruction: performance objectives, suggested activities for the teacher, information sheets, assignment sheets, job sheets, transparency masters and supplements, tests, and answers to tests and assignment sheets. (Depending on the specific objectives, not all of these elements may be included in each of the units.) The following topics are included in this course: forming, framing, finishing, and miscellaneous tasks (rigging, welding). (KC)
