This monograph describes a study done to increase the administrative capacity and efficiency of the family planning programs in the ESCAP region through the identification of organizational determinants of clinic performance. Data were collected from different sources, including interviews with clinic staff and data from clinic records. Contents of this publication include the theoretical framework of the study, overall program development, and organizational resources, characteristics, and productivity. (MA)
