Compares results from 1982, 1986, and 1990 surveys of Texas public schools that were conducted to determine the status of microcomputers and their uses in public schools and school libraries. Data are reported that show an increased us of computers in libraries as well as in other areas of the schools. (LRW)

Describes the results of three surveys that were conducted in 1982 and 1986 to determine the availability and use of microcomputers in public schools in Texas and Pennsylvania. Library use of microcomputers is examined as well as classroom use, trends are examined, and hypotheses for a planned future study are given. (17 references) (LRW)
