The Changing Nature of Children's Environmental Experience: The Shrinking Realm of Outdoor Play.
Freeman, Claire
International Journal of Environmental Education and Information, v14 n3 p259-80 Jul-Sep 1995
Suggests that contrary to popular perception, children are becoming increasingly alienated from the natural environment, especially for play. A study done in Leeds, United Kingdom investigates how the outdoor play of today's children differs from that of their parents' generation. Findings include issues for planners and landscape architects concerning the need for greenspace and traffic control problems. (AIM)
