Examined attitudes regarding school exclusion of 22 primary-age students from 20 different schools in England who had been suspended or expelled. Found that children viewed exclusion as a significant and negative event but were optimistic about returning to school. Students were aware of appropriate and inappropriate school behavior. Incidents involving physical aggression were frequently the reason for exclusion. (KDFB)
