Humanizing and Individualizing Education.
Harkins, Arthur M.
This paper attempts to demonstrate the importance of control in the experimental design of alternative sociocultural and educational futures, leading to expanded or contrasted opportunities for generalized and individualized education. This is accomplished through the further explication of theoretical, value/design, and research approaches, and through the development of six ideologically "mixed" types of sociocultural/educational scenarios. The scenarios are intended to provoke thought about critical input-output characteristics of human societies where formal educational activities are the focus. (Author/MLF)
