This case study details the events preceeding a collective bargaining vote at Albion College and indicates the outcome and implications for the faculty. Emphasis is placed on background information, preelection events, collective bargaining agents, administrative response, and the elections. Conclusions discuss the advantages and disadvantages of collective bargaining, academic issue-areas that bear watching, and events that may produce an affect on the outcome of the election. (MJM)
